Southern Area Hospice Services is a local charity which provides care free of charge to local people who are living with Cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, such as Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease. With a fundraising target of £2.6 million in 2019, the Hospice Fundraising department relies heavily on the support of the local community supporting events such as Donard Day.

Jonathan McKeown, CEO of CRASH Services added, “We were delighted to be part of the Donard Day team again this year and to work closely with the Hospice. It was an honour to present an amazing amount of over £2.5k to the Hospice raised from registration and sponsorship monies. I would like to thank everyone who took part in what turned out to be a great event but tough to get to the top!”

Eadaoin McCann, Marketing and Operations Executive of CRASH Services commented, “I also would like to thank Hugh McCann’s Bar and Restaurant, Newcastle who provided some well-deserved tea, coffee, soup and sandwiches for participants coming down off the mountain.”
